The Ward Codex
Records Office files on every entity whose mark we print. Open a file before you wear one.
闇区 — THE WARD — sits between stops. It does not appear on city maps, and the city does not appear on ours. Four transit lines serve the Ward: Oni, Kage, Yūrei, and Phantom. All four terminate at the Gate. The Kage line runs only at night. The Yūrei line keeps no schedule. Nobody remembers boarding the Phantom line, but the seats are always warm.
Residents are advised that wearing an entity's mark constitutes acknowledgment, and acknowledgment is how they find you.

Which Yokai Are You?
The Records Office keeps a file on everyone. Seven questions to find out which one is yours.
The Twelve Bloodlines
Twelve clans keep the Ward — one for each month of the year. You do not choose yours; you were born into it. Declare your birth month and the Registry will confirm your bloodline.
Resident Registration
Every spirit needs papers. Claim your handle, declare an affinity, and the Records Office will issue your permit.
The Sealed Archive
When a drop concludes, its designs are sealed: withdrawn from sale, never reprinted, recorded here with their final count. Nothing leaves the archive.
The Wallpaper Vault
Eleven codex files, printed for your screen by the Records Office. Previews are public; the vault opens for registered residents.
Ward Files
Field records from the Ward, drawn as they were reported. A new file opens with every drop.
LAST TRAIN
The last train was not on the schedule. You boarded anyway. The Records Office notes that this was the correct decision, though it declines to say for whom.
Between stops, there is a station that is not a stop. All four lines terminate at the Gate.
Yours just did.
門守 — KADOMORI. The first oni sealed itself into the gate rather than choose a side of it. You pass under its gaze exactly twice: once arriving, once leaving. This is the first time. Do not thank the gate.
闇区. The Ward. Population: uncounted, by policy. The shops are open.
The shops are always open.
The Records Office issues your permit while you are still deciding whether to ask. Status: PROVISIONAL. Everyone starts provisional.
You were going to buy something eventually. Everyone does. Wearing a mark constitutes acknowledgment — and acknowledgment is how they find you.
File 002 opens with the next drop. Registered residents are notified first. Meet the entities →
